Sideritis - diversity of species, flavours and ethereal oils
Sideritis congesta (golden mountain tea) tastes of sage-thyme, Contains among other oils , beta-pinen, alpha-pinen, beta-Caryophyllen, beta-Caryophyllenoxid, Spathulenol, Carvacrol. Preparation: Take per cup a plant. (larger pieces of plant halve) an adding you cooking water in addition, then to 2-3 minutes to pull leave. Sideritis condensata (aromatic mountain tea) contains among other oils beta-Caryophyllen, Germacren D, beta-pinen, Caryophyllenoxid, Spathulenol. Preparation: Take per cup 1-2 plants. If you add cooking water, then 2-3 minutes to pull leave. Also as ice tea. Sideritis argyrea (light mountain tea) tastes of fennel lemon, contains among other oils beta-pinen , Epicubebol, alpha-pinen, Limonen , Carvacrol. Preparation: Take per cup 1-2 plants. If necessary cut up the plants into 2-3 pieces. If you add cooking water, then 2-3 minutes to pull leave. Marvelously also as ice tea! Sideritis arguta (mild mountain tea) chamomile sweet wood taste contains among other oils beta-Caryophyllen, Germacren D, alpha-Pinen, beta-Pinen, Limonen, Spathulenol. Preparation: Take per cup 1-2 plants. If necessary cut up the plants into 2-3 pieces. If you add cooking water, then 2-3 minutes to pull leave. To use also as ice tea!. Sideritis erythranta var. cedretorum (brown mountain tea) Myrcen , alpha-Pinen, beta-Caryophyllen , alpha- Bisabolol, beta-Pinen. Preparation: Take per cup two plants.
